Launch an application form instead of a registration form for free

If you offer a free-trial or freemium version of your software, application, new course or service then think about launching it with an a open application phase, than just to start with a classic registration thing.

Why? When people can apply for something then they are more willing to give you some more data like „willing to pay“, „why they want to join“, and so on…That helps to learn more about your target group and to optimize your product from the beginning.
