When we started our new customer review management tool for Trusted Shops in 2009, 2010 we discussed our launch strategy pretty hard.
We could give special deals to our existing customers, for instance. Or sell it hard to them, because we believed in the value of our product. And so on…
My former boss Jean-Marc Noel had a brilliant idea. We give our new product all our customers for free. And we integrate it in our customer platform in a way, that they start collecting reviews with day 1.
A few days later, we let them know, that they have a new product running and that they should have a look. From 0 customers to more than 10.000 over night, not bad right? 10.000 customers using your product and you can talk to get real customer feedback to optimize and make it better and better.
This way you can become market leader in your new product category over night…For sure after some month we developed more and more useful features, so that we could give them the opportunity to upgrade to an even better Paid version.
